Welcome to Course Capture at Penn State

What is Course Capture?

Course Capture makes recording presentations, such as classroom lectures or supplementary materials, extremely easy and accessible to students. Recordings can consist of any combination of screen capture, camera video, and microphone audio from a podium computer or laptop. Captures are posted to your course page on a centralized server that can be accessed by a web browser or mobile device. Usage statistics allow you to see exactly how your students are using this material.

Course Capture at Penn State

Penn State is currently evaluating a course capture system called Panopto. Panopto allows for the automated capture and distribution of instructional audio and video, including lectures and other supplementary content. The Panpto pilot will run through the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semester. If you are interested, contact capture@psu.edu
